Oread, by H. D.

11 March 2012

Having just made another post from Kosovel seems like a good excuse to post this poem by H. D., which transposes Kosovel’s dramatic ‘Pines’ to another element.

///

Whirl up, sea–
whirl your pointed pines,
splash your great pines
on our rocks
hurl your green over us,
cover us with your pools of fir.
